We have said over and over again, "many hands make light work". Our mission statement mentions a goal of keeping trails in our state to be enjoyed by generations to come. To reach that goal, volunteers are needed to help with our work and understand why it is important so the next generation can start waving our banner.
MEMBERSHIP
Join the NHTC as an active member. Attend meetings to learn more about our goals and how we function as an organization. Provide input on what is important to you as a trail rider. Partipate in our trail clearings, projects committees and/or fundraisers. There are jobs for all ages and abilities. Learn what it takes to be on our Board of Directors to help make decisions about trail projects. We get things done and would enjoy welcoming you to our group. View our membership opportunities. VOLUNTEER
We have often said if trail riders would attend just one of our trail clearings or events, we would never have to beg for volunteers again. We know you are out there and may not know where to go to volunteer. Now you have come to the right place. Scan our volunteer opportunties, click on one that interests you and sign up. DONATE
While muscle power is very much appreciated, cash donations go far in our organization. We have fully equipped our trailer with tools, saws and items needed for a successful trail clearing so volunteers without such items can come and use those from our supply. We have purchased mowers so trails can be finished once the clearings are done. Our treasury has printed the Guide to Nebraska Horse Trails to encourage trail riders to use Nebraska's horse trails. Every penny spent for our organization is approved by our board to assure we are making the best use of your donated funds. Donate today. (under contruction).
